Sara meets Dev, a new neighbor moving in next door. She introduces herself warmly, gives helpful building information, and keeps the exchange short.

Story

Sara is coming back from the elevator with a grocery bag when she sees someone carrying boxes into the apartment next door. The door is propped open, and there are a few boxes stacked in the hallway.

She guesses he is moving in. She wants to be friendly, but she can tell he is busy, so she keeps her voice light and says, "Hey, I don't think we've met. I'm Sara, 4C."

The new neighbor puts one box down and says his name is Dev. Sara says, "Welcome to the building."

Dev laughs and says he still has a lot to carry. Sara asks, "How's the move going?"

Dev says it is going okay, but he is still figuring out the building. Sara says, "The garbage room is at the end of the hall, and packages usually go on the shelf near security."

Then she adds, "If you need anything around the building, just let me know." She says it casually, so it feels helpful instead of too much.

Dev thanks her and asks one quick question about package deliveries. Sara answers, then steps back so he can keep moving boxes and does not feel held up.

The meeting is short, but it makes the hallway feel friendlier for both of them. Later, when Sara passes Dev again, they smile like neighbors instead of strangers.
