Farhan is walking on a sidewalk near a parked car and a bench. He notices a dog off leash and calmly warns a parent and child before they get too close.

Story

Farhan is walking home on a quiet sidewalk when he notices a nervous dog near a parked car. The dog is off leash, and it keeps running around near a bench.

A child starts walking toward the car to pick up a ball. Farhan sees the child's parent a few steps behind and says, "Hey, just a heads-up, there's a dog off leash over by that bench."

The child stops, and the parent looks over. Farhan keeps his voice low and says, "You might want to stay left."

The parent says, "Oh, thanks. I didn't even see it." Farhan points lightly toward the bench and says, "It doesn't seem aggressive, but it's moving around pretty fast."

The parent takes the child by the hand and moves to the left side of the sidewalk. Farhan adds, "I just didn't want us getting too close."

A moment later, someone comes out of a nearby building and calls the dog. Farhan says, "Looks like the owner's heading over now."

The parent thanks him again. Farhan walks around the other side of the street and feels calm because he gave a quiet warning without shouting or making the dog more nervous.
