DailyMento Privacy Policy

DailyMento is a DailyBoost initiative focused on practical Kannada learning for real life in Bengaluru. Your personal information is handled with care by the DailyBoost team.

Information We Collect

• Your email address for login, support, and important updates
• Basic profile details you choose to add — display name, profile photo, and (optionally) which life stage best describes why you're in Bengaluru, used only to prioritize which situations we show you first
• Learning activity — which situations you practice, your daily streak, and rough usage counts, so your progress works the same way across your devices
• Basic usage data to improve lessons, free content, and premium features
• Payment-related information handled securely by our payment provider (never your full card details, which we never see or store ourselves)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Why We Use This Information

• To provide DailyMento free and premium content
• To keep your learning progress and streak consistent across devices
• To improve Kannada learning content and product quality
• To send you a reminder if you haven't practiced yet that day — you can turn these off anytime in Settings, and turning them off never affects your access to the app
• To provide support through DailyBoost email or WhatsApp channels
• To communicate service, account, or payment updates

Who We Share Information With

We don't sell your data to anyone. We do work with a small number of service providers who process specific data on our behalf, only for the purpose listed:

• Razorpay — processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
• Google — if you sign in with Google, Google authenticates your identity; we only receive your name and email.
• Resend — delivers our transactional emails (sign-in codes, reminders).
• ElevenLabs — generates the text-to-speech audio used in some lessons.
• OpenAI — generates illustrative images used in some lesson content.
• PostHog — provides aggregate, privacy-conscious product analytics (e.g. which screens are used) so we know what to improve. This is usage analytics, not advertising, and we don't use it to build ad profiles.

Each of these providers only receives the specific data needed for its function, and is bound by its own privacy and security terms.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account and learning-progress data is kept for as long as your account is active.
• If you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account), your profile and learning data are deleted from our active systems. Payment records are kept only as long as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations under Indian law.
• Backups that include your data before deletion are retained for a limited period as part of our standard disaster-recovery process, then age out automatically.

Your Rights

You can, at any time:

• Access what we hold about you — email us and we'll send a copy of your account and learning data.
• Correct your display name, avatar, and other profile details directly in Settings.
• Delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account — this takes effect immediately once the request succeeds.
• Opt out of reminder emails anytime from Settings, without affecting your access to the product.
